Visits

On Friday 5th April 2013 we were visited by the Fire Arms Police. Below is a writeup of the visit by Cadet Cozens.

When the police came to the squadron they parked their police car outside the squardon and started to bring in their equipment that they use every day. They talked about what it is like to be involved in the fire arms team and they went through the equipment they have to wear. They asked for volunteers to try on the equipment so I got up. I first tried on the shield which I did not think it was that heavy so I then put on the full gear which included: helment, body armour and a rifle, I then picked the shield up and I found this very heavy and its hard to belive that the fire arms team have to wear this equipment when they go on call. I enjoyed the visit by the Fire Arms Police and look forward to their next visit.
